Confederate flag under attack!

The Confederate flag is being taken down from public places and off store shelves because it was used a symbol of hate in the Charleston mass murders. Okay, now this just totally makes me want to blow a gasket! This is so unacceptable because the Confederate Flag has nothing to do with racism. It served as the official national flag of the Confederate States of America.It is the 'rebel' flag---widely recognized as the symbol of the American South. It is our heritage.

 This country has gone haywire in the changing of America's traditions. It is most certainly not the country I grew up in. I don't recognize America anymore. This nation gets more socialist leaning as time goes by.

 Now it is most unfortunate and very sad that my black (their not 'African' American) brothers and sisters in the Lord lost their lives from a deranged racist who used the Confederate flag as a hate symbol. I feel for Charleston and the family and friends of the deceased. But that is not a reason to start the banning of a national symbol. 

Think about this---If someone professed to be a Christian and used the Holy Bible in a video--- spewing a hate-filled manifesto message saying that certain people need to be killed---and go out and commit mass murder---does that mean all Holy Bibles should be banned? Or, if an American Muslim made a video hate-filled manifesto while holding and waving the Qur'an saying that all infidels should be killed---and goes out and commits mass murder---should their Qur'an be banned?

 Even if many of us don't agree with Islam, we here in America can't go banning their Qur'an. There are many peaceful Muslims here in America that want to practice their demonic false religion---and they have that right. As long as they are not radicalized like many others are.

 Oh, and dare I say if anyone did the same thing holding an American flag!  Would that flag be offensive then? Be subject to being banned? No longer be our country's flag?

 When will this politically correct BS ever end? I don't think it will. People will continue to hate and murder in the name of religions, flags, books, organizations---you name it. The Confederate flag is nothing more than a symbol of the American South. It was not created for racist reasons.

 In my opinion, I believe Dylan Roof opened up a can of worms. If cities and states start taking down the Confederate flag from public places and off the store shelves to be banned---then I strongly feel like we are going to go down a slippery slope. Whose to say what will be banned next if used as a tool of hate and mass murder? This is the beginning of banning anything that is used as a symbol of hate.

Oh and one last thing. Speaking of banning books---we all know that the Holy Bible would be banned before a book of Islam ever would---because those who preach tolerance are only tolerant toward everybody but Evangelical Christians. Just saying y'all.
